Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author also a model, actor and author. Her work has received acclaim by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). Born and raised in a family of artists in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of arts. While working as assistant to photographers then she turned her attention to modeling and acting. MacGraw was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award, for the most promising young talent. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was a huge hit that brought her fame worldwide and also as an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. After just three short films, MacGraw was declared as the top female performer in box office history. Handprints, signatures and footprints were immortalized in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, was released. MacGraw got married to three different people.
