Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. Ellie Goulding, a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2010 after her hit singles Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed received a lot of attention from the media. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has been at the forefront as are Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of contemporary mainstream music and of independent, arty pop. Her soprano and her knack for writing emotionally honest songs are what make her distinct. Polydor Records, a major music label, signed Goulding and was preparations to release her debut album.
